Amelie’s French Bakery. Seeing as this is Wednesday night, I sit at the big black table in the back with other fellow writers for quiet group meetup. Amelie’s is a gemstone in Charlotte’s crown. An eccentric place with unique chandeliers and artwork, and some of the best yummies all around. I love this place.
The best part? It is open 24/7/365. Yeah. That’s right. No matter what is going on in the world, holiday or midnight hour, Amelie’s is always open. There is something very comforting about that, for some reason.
Yesterday’s coffee stop was cancelled due to dog drama. Sometimes Life happens and coffee has to be made at home.
Tonight’s goal? Anything more than a single word would be nice. High expectations, right? I can do it! But first I need one of Amelie’s wonderful chocolate layer tortes.
(2 of 3 Cases of Baked Goodness)
(Welcome to Amelie’s! It’s actually quite a large place with different rooms and a cornucopia of tables and chairs.)
I am so proud of you. You are making your own Happy thanksgiving. I miss you.
Love, Nana.
